Saint Ursula Academy Senior Kennedy Donnelly plays an important role in Saint Ursula Academy’s Athletic pProgram as a state qualifier in both golf and track and field.
Donnelly has been attending SUA since sixth grade. That same year she started track. When she advanced to high school, she also started competing in golf.
Last June, she secured the school record at the OHSAA Division 1 state meet with a discus throw of 134 feet and 10 inches -- more than a third of a football field. Her furthest shot put throw overall is 35 feet and 3 inches.
“Just go and have fun,” said Donnelly when asked how she succeeds in each sport. “When you’re having fun, you’re super relaxed and that’s all the times I’ve succeeded the most.”
When she reflects on her tenure at SUA, her teammates are at the forefront.
“My favorite thing about SUA is all the people,” said Donnelly. “I love talking to everyone and I love my teammates so much and I wouldn’t have them if I wasn’t at Saint Ursula.”
She plans to attend the University of New Hampshire next year, where she will continue her Track career while majoring in International Business with a minor in French.
Donnelly plans to make the most out of her senior track season, striving for success just as she did in previous years.
