TOLEDO, OH- Thanksgiving break for SUA students begins next Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025. Many families across the country love Thanksgiving as it kicks off the holidays and is a great time to spend with family.
Faculty, staff, and students at SUA love this time with their families and friends as well.
Asking faculty, staff, and students at SUA what they are thankful for is a great way to have them express gratitude and spread positivity during the thanksgiving season.
“I am thankful for the dance team,” said Junior Taytum Gates, a member of the dance team.
“I am thankful for my health and the health of my family,” said Mrs. Claire Nelson, a math teacher at SUA.
Next week, SUA will host a prayer service to allow Arrows to reflect on what they are grateful for. This is a great way to get everyone involved and thinking of the world around them.
Those at SUA take this gratitude home for break and express it when celebrating many traditions they have with their families.
“Usually we go over to my in-laws and we celebrate with a bunch of different families as we come together,” said SUA school counselor, Mrs. Tori Montry.
All families celebrate Thanksgiving differently with different traditions and celebrations. Such as sharing a meal, watching sports or just simply spending time with one another.
Many families have special recipes they make, movies they watch or games they play. This holiday is the kickoff of the holidays, making it a wonderful time to celebrate thankfulness.
